29: How to Attract What You Want in Life in 2025!

Hold up, don’t go anywhere just because you think this article might sprinkle a little too much woo woo into your logical, grounded life. Sure, I might mention manifesting, and yes, there could be some “power of the universe” vibes ahead, but before you roll your eyes so hard they get stuck, imagine what’s possible if you’re able to walk away with something useful, even if it’s just a snort-laugh or a “Huh, never thought of it that way.” So stick with me—your future self might just thank you. Or at least stop side-eyeing you in the mirror.

…It’s energy, physics, and intentionality all working together to shape your reality.
Inspired by a video from Gary Brecka, a renowned human biologist who connects science with human potential, I felt compelled to DRIVE into this topic and explore how the energy we surround ourselves with can amplify—or block—our biggest goals.

I’m writing this from returning moments ago from Santa Ana, California (a little over 30 miles from LA where all those crazy fires are still going on). Yesterday I spoke to over 120 fabulous veterinarians who specialize in dermatology. Before stepping onto that stage, I was reminded of just how important it is to align the energy around me.
My Personal Secret Weapon: Energy Alignment
As someone with ADHD, which evidentially now falls under the umbrella of being neurodivergent, staying on track while traveling can be a challenge. That’s why I always bring someone whose energy supports and grounds me. This time, it was my friend Aida Hernandez, a rock star middle school counselor from Virginia.
Aida, who always smells like a high-end Mack daddy spa, has that movie mom vibe—the kind of person who pours warmth into every interaction. She’s a great listener, an even better hugger, and the type of friend who makes you feel seen just by saying, “Good morning,” while lightly touching your arm.
Her energy filled me up so much that by the time I hit the stage, I felt completely present and ready to connect with the audience.
The lesson? The energy you allow into your space matters. It can fuel your performance—or drain it.
OK, you might be wondering what does this whole thing have to do with the law of attraction or manifesting?
As my mom would often say to me (because I’m impatient and want the good stuff NOW), “Hold your horses,” I’m getting there… First time for a tea beak…



What Is the Law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction is like the ultimate life hack backed by physics, energy, and just enough magic to make you feel unstoppable.
The Law of Attraction says: What you focus on expands. Your thoughts, emotions, and even the people you surround yourself with send out energy waves into the universe.
When your energy is aligned—like mine was with Aida’s presence—the universe reflects that alignment back to you.
Let’s break it down with an example:
• You want a big promotion (wave 1).
• You truly believe you’re ready for it (wave 2).
Those waves align, creating a massive surge of energy that pulls opportunities toward you. Think about waves in the ocean. When two waves sync up perfectly—crest to crest, trough to trough—they combine into a massive, powerful wave. This is what’s called “constructive interference,” and it’s the perfect metaphor for how the Law of Attraction works.
Your thoughts and emotions are like those waves. When they align with what you want—BOOM! You create a surge of energy that propels you forward.
But when they’re out of sync—like wanting success but doubting yourself—you get “destructive interference,”canceling out your progress.
As you might imagine, the goal is to align your thoughts and emotions to create big, powerful waves that carry you where you want to go.
Think of your energy as a DJ setting the tone for a massive party. Play upbeat, intentional tracks, and the crowd (aka the universe) will respond. But spin a set of self-doubt and negative vibes, and no one’s hitting the dance floor.
The Science: Gary Brecka Explains Energy and Frequency
Gary Brecka, a leading biohacker and longevity expert, explains that your body operates like a frequency tower. Every thought you have sends out energy, and the universe matches it.

You’re broadcasting at full strength, like a radio station playing clear, powerful music.
Negative energy?
Static.
Here’s where Gary ties science to the Law of Attraction:
• Happy thoughts = Happy chemicals: When you focus on gratitude, joy, and excitement, your brain releases serotonin and dopamine. These are the “feel-good” chemicals that raise your frequency.
• Stress = Energy drain: Worry and negativity flood your body with cortisol, the stress hormone. This lowers your frequency and creates static in your signal.
Gary’s video (linked below) inspired me to think more deeply about the people I let into my life and how their energy interacts with mine.
The People I Allow Into My Life
I reflect on how their energy interacts with mine by asking myself:
1. When I set a clear boundary, does this person respect it, or do they ignore it for their own self-serving reasons, making their word meaningless?
2. Does this person bring out the best version of me, or do I feel drained, diminished, or second-guess myself after being around them?
3. Do they celebrate my wins and genuinely root for me, or do they subtly compete, criticize, or make it about themselves?
4. When conflict arises, are they willing to communicate honestly and resolve it, or do they avoid accountability and shift blame?
5. Do their actions align with their words, or do I find myself constantly having to decipher mixed signals and excuses?
These questions are my secret sauce for protecting my peace, fueling my energy, and building a life packed with respect, connection, and mutual growth.
Steal them, use them, and start measuring up the people in your life to these standards.
So, be honest—would some friends not make the cut? Is it time to finally call it quits with that “meh” relationship that’s been limping along?

You’ll notice it soon—it’s not magic, it’s your brain’s Reticular Activating System (RAS) at work.

1. Be Specific: Clear goals = clear results.
2. Feel It First: Visualize your goal and feel the excitement.
3.Take Action: Even small steps count.
4. Raise Your Vibe: Laughter, music, and fun fuel your energy.
Your Energy Circle Matters
Let me break it down for you: the people you hang with are like human Wi-Fi signals. If their vibe is trash, guess what?
Your connection to your best self is gonna buffer.
As we’ve touched upon briefly, science even backs this up—research shows that the people around you literally impact your brain. When you’re surrounded by supportive, positive people, your brain releases oxytocin, aka the “feel-good hormone,” which lowers stress and boosts happiness.
But if you’re stuck with negative, energy-draining folks? Your cortisol spikes, and suddenly you’re running on stress fumes.
So here’s the deal—your energy is precious, like Beyoncé’s time, and you don’t have to let just anyone into your VIP section.
Surround yourself with people who hype you up, keep it real, and make you feel like a million bucks, because when you do, your brain is out here throwing a party.
